wallpaper installation

Michael was taught the finer details of wallpaper prep and application in 1983 from the same old-world master who taught him his trade of painting, textures, plasters and woodworking.
Any novice at the time started by washing brushes and rollers, ladder detail, washing and burning buckets and life lessons like removing 18th century flock or canvas wallpaper from plaster walls with 6" putty knifes that had lacquered over 100 years prior. Oh the joy lol! Fortunately enough, times have changed and wallpaper is much easier to apply and remove.
We offer wallpaper preparation, installation, removal and if your budget does not allow, we can use a method we refer to as burying. We remove all wall fixtures and loose wallpaper, trim overlapping seams, apply a generous coat of an all-purpose oil primer, allow 24 hours to dry and skim coat voids reprime as needed, caulk all joints prior to reapplying new texture or painting. This method is sometimes preferred since removal of paper on an incorrectly prepped wall can damage the integrity of the dry wall beneath.
